A message from the Supervisor
As summer approaches it seems a good time to take stock of the activities that are available in the area. Sometimes we take for granted the many wonderful activities that make the Town of Stamford a wonderful place to live. Here is a partial list of things to enjoy in the Villages of Stamford and Hobart and in the Town of Stamford.
- Walk, bike or run on the Catskill Rail Trail
- Hike the Stamford Trail System
- View the Catskills from the fire tower on Utsayantha Mountain
- Attend a performance at 76 Main
- Attend a musical performance at the Rexmere Center
- Join the fun at the Hobart Horseshoe Festival
- Check out the Classic Cars at the Rotary Car show July 4th weekend
- Browse the Hobart Book Stores
- Buy local produce at a Farmers Market
- Donate some clothing to the CORE Values Store
- Enjoy a meal at one of our local restaurants
- Go Fishing
- Take a kid to the playgrounds in Stamford or Hobart
- Spend a quiet moment in the Gazebo in John Bonacic Park in Hobart
- Invite some friends to a backyard picnic
- Check out the stars on a clear night
I know you have your favorite activities and, if I failed to list them, e-mail me at
supervisor@townofstamdfordny.us and I will add them to the list. Enjoy the summer! Enjoy Stamford!
